Rebels begins with the familiar gesture of folding the corner of a book page to mark a passage.
In many languages, these folds are called ears: orecchia (ear) in Italian, hiirenkorva (mouse ear) in Finnish, dog-ear in English, and Eselsohr (donkey ear) in German. Rebels presents a group of book pages, each with an ear of its own character.
